Data Disaggregation Tool

The Data Disaggregation Tool (DDT) is designed to allow teachers to easily and quickly analyze their student data. With just a few clicks, the DDT will automatically the data from a spreadsheet, disaggregate it by your selected student variable, calculate six descriptive statistics, and create a boxplot to allow you to quickly and easily compare performance between groups of students



  1. Prepare your data. Your data must consist of columns with headings for each variable you want to examine. The DDT can only analyze numerical variables. Save your data as a .CSV file.

  2. Upload your data to the DDT by selecting “Browse” and selecting your file from the list. Remember, you should never upload personally identifiable data for yourself or your students to the web!

  3. The DDT will automatically produce a summary of the first column of your spreadsheet. Use the drop-down box to select other variables to analyze.

  4. The read out from this page can be copied and pasted into a document or slide show to share with your data team!
